We often have customers come into the showroom looking to spice up their kitchen backsplashes, but unsure where to start. There a literally thousands of tile designs and materials to choose from. I’l show you some popular options here to get you started.
The #1 request we are receiving from customers now is for white subway tile. This tile made it’s first debut as far back as 1904 and is back is a BIG way. It is incredibly versatile and can be used with any color scheme due to it’s neutral, contemporary look. It also compliments retro and eclectic style nicely. It can be laid in a brick style lay, as pictured below, stacked, vertical, in a herringbone pattern, or dozens of other options.

At Stone Saver, we’ve installed numerous tumbled marble backsplashes, possibly because that’s what we have on display in our showroom kitchen, but also because it has a nice neutrality and comes in many colors that will compliment any decor. The first photo is of 12×12 beige tumbled marble with an etched granite accent tile which were placed every three feet or so. The second photo is an example of an understated tumbled marble simply turned on a diagonal.

I personally am a big fan of glass backsplashes. Again, there are a ton of options, but here are a couple examples that are very versatile and come in a variety of colors.
